Biography
Ma Sing Ling is an art trio composed of three young promising artists of Taiwan: Manihoo, Singway and Ling Ling. These young artists have developed quite tacit understanding with one another; X-Power Gallery thus brings them together to spark new light. Their first attempt to create as a trio is "Form of Unity", a series featuring breathtaking grandeur, magnificence, and incredible coherence. One of their creations in this series was selected into the 159th Autumn Exhibition organized by Royal West of England Academy, United Kingdom ( 2011 ).
While receiving recognitions from international juried contests, Ma Sing Ling’s artworks also attract great attention in Taiwan and are highly regarded by Taiwan’s famous art collectors, such as Kenneth Lo ( Chairman of Industrial Bank of Taiwan ), Edward Chen ( President of Jih Sun Group ), and Chen Wu-gang ( CEO of Kelti International ). They not only make collection of Ma Sing Ling’s works; they have also placed the collected pieces in their conglomerate-affiliated museums.
In addition to winning favor from Taiwan's collectors, Ma Sing Ling have also been selected by "IS Art Foundation" to be the focus artists that the Foundation will make every effort to promote and bring to the international arena. The Foundation have arranged a series of solo exhibitions for Ma Sing Ling in Taipei, Taichung and Kaohsiung domestically, as well as internationally, including Beverly Hills in Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Qingdao and Shenzhen.
Ma Sing Ling have shown their special talents and ability to manage the free flow and fluidity of the paint and to elicit the self-evolving momentum of the image produced. They have grasped the essentials as to how to "interact with the constantly changing phenomena of the outer world via abiding by the unchanging innate virtue, and to abide in the unchanging innate virtue while interacting with the constantly changing phenomena of the outer world." It is a state of harmonious unity of mind and phenomena, and of a mutual nourishment of imagination and realization. Their new series of 2014 include "Spring Breeze", which depicts romantic aura emanating from a sea of flowers in a style of "hiding marvel in chaos, revealing verve in ease". On the same wavelength, these three artists interweave dots and lines into a multi-layered fantastic world, creating an abstract impressionism of a new generation.
